“There’s a pond that looks just like a pool!”
If you walk from Nakano-shimbashi Station along Yanagi-dori towards the University of Tokyo Junior High School, you'll find a park at the corner where it intersects with Honan-dori.

Sakae-machi Park. It’s a fairly spacious and relaxing park.

It's a forest bathing spot surrounded by tall trees. There are many two-seater benches around the planted trees.

It's also fun to eat your lunch or take out something you bought from the nearby bakery. The ground is gravel, so children can play safely.

There are also some mysterious playground equipment, and if you're feeling stressed, you can even hit a punching bag!

Now, the remarkable point of Sakae-machi Park is this splash pool. Yes, it's not a pool, but a pond! You can enter for free. There are parasols, making it almost like an outdoor pool...lol

Even though I'm a penguin-like manager, it was difficult to enter the splash pool, so I was relaxing on a bench nearby. There were a lot of pigeons on the Honan-dori side, but there are restrooms available.
So, why not use this park as a relaxing rest area near Nakano-shimbashi Station?
