"Japan's First Park-PFI"
A short walk from Nishi-Kokura Station will take you to Kokura Castle and the Kitakyushu City Hall.
Let's head to the area between Kokura Castle and Kitakyushu City Hall this time.

Komeda Coffee Kitakyushu Katsuyama Park store is located within the park.
Nowadays, it's common to see cafes in parks, but this one opened as a pioneer of Japan's first Park-PFI.
As a result, there are public restrooms available.

Next to Komeda Coffee, there's a terrace with a view of the Shibakawa River. The streetlights are stylish, too.
Something is written there...

It's an open space that's free for everyone to use.
Since it's in the park, anyone can use it, not just those who visit Komeda Coffee!

There were three tables, each with three seats.
You could enjoy coffee or a packed lunch while gazing at the Shibakawa River.

You might even be able to do some remote work on this relaxing terrace.
So, why not give it a try as a place to sit and relax near Tanga Station?
