"Near the smoking area"
There's a monument to Higashimurayama Station's early days at the west exit rotary of Higashimurayama Station.

The monument to Higashimurayama Station. There's also a smoking area right in front of it.

There are two three-seater benches next to the monument.
They might be useful as a meeting spot in Higashimurayama.

It seems that the official station was completed with donations from Higashimurayama citizens and the provision of land, just like Ken Shimura's statue.
The unity of the residents is amazing.

There are also benches nearby that are suitable for meeting up.

So, why not use them as a place to sit and take a break around Higashimurayama Station?
