Chiba Station was renovated and reopened in September 2017, transforming into a very beautiful station building.
There are many restaurants inside Chiba Station, so it has become a convenient station for salaried workers because they can have lunch without leaving the ticket gates.
There's a place to sit and take a break near the main entrance of Chiba Station, in front of the Central Ticket Gate.

This is the Central Ticket Gate, where you can transfer to the monorail and Keisei Line, and access the Sogo area.
Since it was the exam season, there was a banner behind the ticket gates that said, "Good luck to the examinees!"

To the immediate right of the Central Ticket Gate, there's a "Lotus Clock" and a touch panel information corner.
It seems to be a clock with a motif of the Oga lotus of Chiba Park!
And, before you know it, benches have been placed in front of the Lotus Clock!

There were nine relatively sturdy wooden benches that can accommodate three people each!
This is... convenient as a meeting place in Chiba Station!
It seems useful when you want to send an email or make a phone call near the ticket gates of Chiba Station.
(Pen-ta, being a salaried worker too, should remember this...)

It's nice that the benches have partitions to ensure a private space.
I surveyed during the evening rush hour, so it was relatively crowded, but the turnover was fast, so it wasn't completely full.
The benches are also kept clean, so it's perfect for when you want to take a break near the station or as a meeting place in Chiba!
Also, the "Perie Chiba Ekinaka 4F" inside Chiba Station is also very convenient, so be sure to check it out!

So, why not try using it as a resting place where you can sit at Chiba Station?
