There's a bench right in front of the ticket gates at Chitose-Funabashi Station.
It's a circular bench that can seat about 10 people, and it has handrails.
It's convenient since it's in front of the station, but you have to go around the road fence to get to it from the ticket gates.
It's in front of the police box, so it's easy to meet up with someone at Chitose-Funabashi Station.
There's a FamilyMart nearby, so it's a great spot to grab a quick lunch at Chitose-Funabashi.
It's under the elevated tracks, so you can take a break without getting wet in the rain.
Also, although there's a lot of foot traffic in front of the ticket gates, there's surprisingly little traffic on the bench side, which is a good point.
(Perhaps because of the fence, there's not much reason to pass through that area)
