These benches are located under the rows of cherry trees on the north side of Sayamaike Pond, the oldest man-made pond in Japan.
They are installed every few dozen meters around the entrance of the Sayamaike Pond Museum.

Sitting on a bench in the shade, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Kongo Mountain Range and the Izumi Mountain Range across Sayamaike Pond.
It's a place you'll definitely want to visit during cherry blossom season!

(The nearby Sayamaike Pond Museum (free admission) is a cool building designed by Tadao Ando, and the exhibits are also well worth seeing, so be sure to check it out!)
