The Traffic Square is the name of a plaza located in front of the Shiodome Shibarikyu Building, and it's situated in front of the former Shibarikyu Gardens.
To get to the Traffic Square, take the north exit of Hamamatsucho Station, turn right onto the main street leading to Zojoji Temple, and you'll see it after a short walk towards Takeshiba.
Now, let's take a look at the places in the plaza where you can sit and relax.

This is a bench next to the outdoor escalator near Hamamatsucho Station.
Although there are many objects around the bench that are a bit perplexing, you can still sit there without any problems.
Since it's at the edge of the Traffic Square, this bench doesn't really give you a "plaza" feeling.

Next, between the Shiodome Building and the Shibarikyu Building, there are many individual stone benches.
This area is surrounded by trees and has a waterway nearby, making it a great spot to take a break.

These are marble benches designed with aesthetics in mind, and they're spaced out generously.
This is a perfect place to relax with a wooden deck and a waterway, and you could even enjoy your lunch here in Hamamatsucho.

Oh, and you can see the Yurikamome track and trains from this rest area!
Kids who love trains will definitely be delighted.
Since Hamamatsucho Station is nearby, I got it mixed up with the Tokyo Monorail, but this is the Yurikamome, heading towards Takeshiba, haha.

If you go a little further, you'll find a long bench that can accommodate about 10 people.
It's a slightly arched bench, and from a distance, I thought it was the roof of an underground passage or an underground bicycle parking area.
Also, there is a rental port for the Minato City share cycle nearby.

This is the view of the former Shibarikyu Gardens.
The deck in front allows you to go back and forth between the Shibarikyu Building and the Shiodome Building.
Also, there is a German beer restaurant on the left, so it must be lively with people drinking beer at the outdoor tables during dinner time.
This is a great resting spot for meeting up in Hamamatsucho or for families with children.
It's also a good place to take a break during a walk around Hamamatsucho.
And by the way, there is an indoor "Hamasaite 1F Rest Area Behind the Escalator" nearby, so please visit there as well!
So, why not use this as a place to sit and relax around Hamamatsucho?
