"Next to an elementary school and a temple"
There's a park located on the way from Higashi-Jujo Station towards Jujo Station.

This is Nakajujo Park. It seems to have a history related to the Nikko Onarimichi road and Fujizuka (artificial mounds replicating Mount Fuji).

It's a sandy park with playground equipment and public restrooms.

There are also stone stools under the pergola.

There were also wooden benches for two people lined up on the elementary school side.

There was also a slide, making it easy for children to play.
Next door, there's a temple called Shinkoji, where you can also find a Nadebutsu (a statue you touch for good health). It seems like a good idea to visit both.
So, how about using this as a place to take a rest near Higashi-Jujo Station?
