Head towards Exit A3 of Higashi-Shinjuku Station, and you'll find the Eastside Square Sunken Garden after going up the escalator.

I found a pretty cool spot!
There are large benches lined up in an area where the ceiling has been cut out in a donut shape.

This is what the rest area looks like when viewed from the atrium.
The exterior of the Eastside Square building is also nice.

It's a flat, wide bench.
It's convenient as a meeting place or a place to eat lunch in Higashi-Shinjuku.

Perhaps because Square Enix's headquarters are here, it's become a cave-like spot.
How exciting!

I came out to the waterside area. It's mysterious and cool.
You can also sit around the objects. There are also convenience stores and fast food restaurants nearby.

I also looked at the sunken garden from above.
It's lovely that a picture of koi carp swimming is painted there.

How about it as a date spot in Shinjuku!? By the way, it's about a 15-minute walk from Shinjuku Station.
So, why not use it as a relaxing place to sit around Higashi-Shinjuku Station?
