To get to Sunshine City, take the JR or subway to the East Exit of Ikebukuro Station and head for the ground-level exit.
Cross the intersection at the East Exit and go through the underground passageway next to Tokyu Hands to enter Sunshine City B1F.
Then, go straight through the building towards Yurakucho Line Higashi-Ikebukuro Station to reach Sunshine City ALTA.
Many benches and sofas were installed in the B1F and 1F passages of Sunshine City ALTA.

■ ALTA B1F Italian Tomato/Nitori
Comfort level ★★☆☆☆
Sofas and wooden benches for about 40 people
Crowded on weekends
■ ALTA 1F Near the escalator on the Culture Center side
Comfort level ★★★☆☆
Sofas for about 20 people
Less crowded than B1F.
Especially B1F has a large number of seats, making it a convenient resting place for families with children and groups.
Regarding the congestion situation, I checked on weekends and holidays, and about 60% of the seats were occupied, but it seems unlikely that it will be full because there are many seats.
It's perfect for taking a break when you're tired from the Sunshine Aquarium or Namja Town.
Also, the resting areas at "Sunshine Fountain Plaza 1F, 2F, 3F" in the building are spacious, so I recommend them!
So, why not use it as a place to rest in Ikebukuro while you're shopping at Sunshine City?
