Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre is a comprehensive arts and culture facility with a large concert hall, located near West Gate Park in Ikebukuro.
To get to Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, you can head from the West Exit of Ikebukuro Station on various train lines towards Ikebukuro West Exit Park. You can access it directly from Exit 2b via the underground passage.
On the 1st floor, which can be accessed from the park, there are shops and restaurants, including a cafe, onigiri (rice balls?), and a museum shop.
It's a floor that can be used even if you don't have a concert or other event, so you can enter easily.

Near the museum shop on the 1st floor, on the park side, there were six-seater counter tables and two four-seater tables!
I saw families taking a break and people eating things they purchased from the onigiri shop "Gonda."
I suppose bringing in your own food and drinks isn't allowed, but it's convenient if you want to take a break at a table near the west exit of Ikebukuro.

There were also many sofa-type three-seater benches around the atrium.
As you can see, the cushions are thick, so you can sit comfortably on them.
What was it... there was a logo of a manufacturer like this...
Ah, this is it. Canterbury.

Maybe it's a bit different (laughs)
Also, if you want to relax in the nearby spacious park, "Nishi-Ikebukuro Park" is recommended, so be sure to check it out!
So, these tables and benches can also be used as a meeting place at Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre!
