Ikuta, where Meiji University and Senshu University students might find the steep slopes a bit challenging.
Even getting to the discount supermarket, OK Store Ikuta, can be a bit of a trek...

Now, when you get off at Ikuta Station on the Odakyu Line and head towards Mukogaoka-Yuen, you'll come across the Gotandagawa River.
You can get there from either the north or south exit.

It was the beginning of May when I visited, and there were so many carp streamers swimming in the sky!
When you hear "Gotandagawa," you might think of Gotanda, but that's actually the Meguro River.

And as you walk along the green path beside the Gotandagawa River... there were benches!

It's a bench made of a long wooden plank on top of a log.
It's the kind you'd see at the entrance to a hiking trail. You don't see them very often in urban areas.
But it's simple and perfect for taking a little break. Why not relax and enjoy the carp streamers over the Gotandagawa River?
Perfect for enjoying your lunch near Ikuta Station, or taking a break from your walk from Ikuta.
By the way, if you continue along the Gotandagawa River, you can get to Fuchu Kaido road and Mukogaoka-Yuen Station ♪
So, why not give it a try as a relaxing spot near Ikuta Station?
