Take a relaxing ride on the Choshi Electric Railway, a local train in Choshi, which runs along the right edge of the Boso Peninsula.
I went to Inuboh Station, aiming for Inubosaki Lighthouse!

I thought it was a wooden station building, but it has a European style exterior and seems to have been selected for the first time as one of the 100 best stations in the Kanto region!
It is a Portuguese palace-style building, and in the past, it had decorative tiles, but they were removed due to aging, with only a part remaining on the station name signs.
Inuboh Station is a hub for sightseeing, and a shop selling "Nure-senbei" and other items is located inside the station.

There were five two-seater wooden benches in the plaza leading to the parking lot in front of Inuboh Station.
...On a side note, the Choshi Electric Railway is known for its gag-filled antics, such as the "Sabaru Bento" (a pun on "arrogant mackerel" and a bento box).
There is "Kashigami Kurohae Station" on the Choshi Electric Railway, and the station name sign also includes "Kamige Kurohae"...

What was surprising in Choshi was the Higeta soy sauce and Yamasa soy sauce benches.
These are standard benches in Choshi, which you'll see several times between Choshi Station and Tokawa.
I thought that the only benches with advertisements left these days were for Coca-Cola or Pocari Sweat, but as expected of a soy sauce town, you can see the Higeta and Yamasa combination.

And, there were eight two-seater table seats in front of Inuboh Station Plaza.
Having plenty of tables at a sightseeing hub station is a welcome consideration for those with children or families visiting Choshi for a trip♪

They are a little delicate outdoor tables and chairs, but you can use them to have a light meal or enjoy a bento in Inuboh.
As I will explain later, the placement of table seats here may be a kind of strategy (lol)

Oh yes, if you come to Inuboh, you should experience grilling Nure-senbei!
At first, I thought, "Huh, where can I experience grilling rice crackers?" But if you ask the shop staff in the station's shop, they will guide you.
The grilling experience costs about 200 yen for two pieces, and the time required is about 10 minutes.

This rice cracker grilling experience is quite tricky and difficult to master!
I struggled because they slipped from the tongs and I couldn't grab them (lol)
But the staff will teach you carefully, so you'll be fine♪

Once you've grilled your own rice crackers, let's eat them at the table!
It's best to eat them while they are freshly grilled and hot~♪
By the way, each piece is large, so you'll get quite full (lol)

And, there is a Taiyaki shop, which is a specialty of Inuboh, in front of the station plaza!
At a reasonable price of 100 yen each, you'll want to eat them once you sit at this table~♪
What I meant by "strategic" is this (lol)

You can go to Inubosaki Lighthouse in about 10 minutes on foot from Inuboh Station!
After enjoying the rice cracker grilling experience, why not take a leisurely stroll to the lighthouse!?
As I mentioned earlier, Nure-senbei is a specialty of Choshi.
I got hooked on the chewy texture, and I bought a lot of them on my way back from looking for benches♪
It's delicious to munch on them~!
By the way, did you know that the Choshi Electric Railway was saved thanks to the success of Nure-senbei!?
Also, if you're visiting Choshi, I recommend the soy sauce soft serve ice cream at "Choshi Select Market"!

So, why not try the rice cracker grilling experience and use the rest areas around Inuboh Station?
