Along the left bank (east side) of the Higashi Yokobori River in Chuo-ku, Osaka, a promenade was developed in the spring of 2025 as part of the "River Terrace" initiative, which focuses on the utilization of waterfront spaces.
Two elevated decks with tables and chairs have been set up along the promenade between Hommachi Bridge and Higashi Yokobori Park.
The location is directly under the Higashifunaba JCT. It's just south of Hommachi Bridge, but you can't access it directly from the sidewalk on the south side of Hommachi Bridge. The shortest route is to cross Honmachi-dori to the north, or to approach from Higashi Yokobori Park, which is at the end of the road heading south from the intersection on the east side of the bridge.

(The cafe managed by an architectural design firm and a construction consulting company nearby takes care of it.)

Although it's outdoors, it's located under the large elevated bridge of the Hanshin Expressway, so it seems to provide shelter from the sun and some rain.

Being under the city expressway, there is some traffic noise, but on the other hand, it is completely isolated from the roadway. Surrounded by the aged, human-scale buildings and the trees along the promenade, it offers a sense of security and a relaxing space, even though it's in the heart of the city.

During the Expo period, Myaku-Myaku is also watching over the area.
