Kamiyacho is, of course, home to the Tokyo Tower and Atago Shrine with its "Stairway to Success"!
Now, the rest area we're introducing this time is located next to Shiba Junior High School and High School, on the way to Tokyo Tower from Kamiyacho Station.
From Exit 3 of the station, head to the Shiba Gakuen-shita intersection, and then go up the slope from the intersection towards the Dutch Embassy.
You'll find a place to sit and relax on the sidewalk next to the Shiba Junior High School and High School grounds in front of the embassy!

When you go up Temari-zaka slope from Koen-ji Temple, the Tokyo Tower is right in front of you!
There are two two-seater benches on the sidewalk.

The sidewalk is slightly recessed for the rest area, so you can relax without feeling cramped even when people pass by.
I visited on a Sunday, and it was a quiet environment with only a few cars passing by.
There are some pretty steep slopes up to here, so why not take a break on these benches on your way to see the Tokyo Tower?

Even so, the benches are a little unusual, and I've never seen this type before.
The ratio of the backrest to the handrail feels a little off... The height of your arm is quite high when you put it on the armrest, isn't it?
Perhaps the handrail is large to make it easier to hold on to!?
The environment is great in front of the embassy, and it seems like a nice bench to eat your lunch on.
Also, the "Shiba Kyusuijo Park" nearby is also a recommended oasis-like rest spot, so be sure to check it out!

So, why not use this as a place to sit and relax around Kamiyacho Station?
