On the west side of Kawaguchi Station, there's a spacious park called Lilia Park (Kawaguchi West Park).
You can access it directly from the west exit pedestrian deck. It's located on the opposite side of the Lilia Hall.

An old woman and a child.
Within Lilia Park, there are benches scattered around, and near the water's edge, you'll find benches in the style of a gazebo.
This area is popular with families and people taking a stroll.
Kawaguchi is known as a city of statues, so you can enjoy viewing several statues within Lilia Park. (Perhaps there are many statues because Kawaguchi's casting industry was thriving?)
I only had a photo of this old woman's bench, so I'll add more photos of the benches when I visit Kawaguchi again.
So, why not try using it as a place to sit and relax around Kawaguchi Station?
