You can get to the East Exit ticket gates from the stairs on the Nishiogikubo side of the platform at JR Kichijoji Station. The East Exit ticket gates connect to Atre East Building, where you'll find a Tully's Coffee, Book First, and Seijo Ishii.
And, there are places to rest with seats near the ticket gates of Atre East Building.

Holiday, around 11:00 AM, snowy weather.The 2-seater benches on the 2nd floor were not in use.
The 1st floor was about 70% full!
