"The first rest stop on the old Tokaido Road"
There's a gazebo near the entrance to the old Tokaido Road.

There's a rest space very close to Yatsuyama Bridge, where Godzilla once landed.
Just looking at the Tokaido Shinagawa-juku walking map next to the gazebo is enjoyable.

It's a square bench that seats four. There's also the Yatsuyama Toji public restroom right next to it.
And the Keikyu Line, which runs very close to Yatsuyama Bridge, is a dynamic spot that is popular with railway photography enthusiasts.
(The Keikyu trains departing from Shinagawa Station run slowly at first, don't they? The reason for this is due to the curve next to this rest space)
I took some photos of the scene, so please take a look if you'd like.
Also, there's an underpass right next to it. It seems that it was used as a walking route to the Konan exit before the east-west free passage of Shinagawa Station was completed.
So, why not use it as a place to rest at Kitashinagawa Station?
