You can find Koenji Hikawa Shrine and Kisho Shrine near the South Exit of Koenji Station.

It's close to the station and easy to access. It's located along a slope.

There is a two-seater bench next to the temizuya (purification basin) in the shrine. It seemed to have many visitors on weekends.

The hydrangeas near the temizuya were very Instagrammable!

Here is the only Kisho Shrine in Japan.
It is said that weather forecasters familiar from TV also visit.

The teru teru bozu (a doll made of white paper or cloth, used to pray for good weather) are cute.
The ema (votive plaques) also have a lot of content about "rain men", which is interesting, haha.

It is said that the shrine originated from the fact that the meteorological unit of the former Imperial Japanese Army was located within the grounds. Please visit and pay your respects.
So, why not use this as a resting spot around Koenji Station?
