Kumanomae Station is a transfer station for the Nippori-Toneri Liner and the Toden Arakawa Line (a streetcar in Tokyo).
Although it's a transfer between minor lines, you can get to Nippori and Higashi-Ikebukuro directly.
Recently, the Arakawa Line seems to have been nicknamed "Tokyo Sakura Tram," but it doesn't quite fit!
“Toden” is fine, right? But I wonder if it will eventually become an old image like "Eidan" (Eidan: Teito Rapid Transit Authority, now Tokyo Metro)...
So, I’ve decided to get off at Kumanomae Station for the first time.

There's a place where you can sit and rest near the escalators of the Nippori-Toneri Liner, near the Kumanomae intersection.
There was a wooden circular bench. Above you are the Liner and a bypass, and on the road, the streetcar Toden is running, so you can enjoy various modes of transportation here.
The sidewalk is wide and spacious, so it doesn't feel too uncomfortable, even though there is a lot of traffic.
And the bench you can see on the right in the photo is...

There were two two-seater benches that didn't seem to fit the Toei Line.
There is a plate on the backrest...

Named "Iyashi no Bench Kumanomae" (Healing Bench Kumanomae) by the 6th grade children of Oku Elementary School.
It's not a student's work, it's just the name of the bench. But, I wonder if the benches were selected in accordance with the urban design?
The benches are behind cars and the Toden, but because there is planting, it doesn't bother you that much.
More than that, isn't it wonderful that you can rest while looking at the Toden!?
(Although you have to sit diagonally on the bench...)

It's located a 1-minute walk from the station, so it's convenient for meeting up at Kumanomae Station.
You can also enjoy a walk from here to Higashi-Ogu!

I also visited "Hanakuma," a toy store owned by a follower 😃 pic.twitter.com/a8xfmOJBE3
Also, a recommended spot for pedestrian signal enthusiasts!

The pedestrian signals that can be viewed at close range are wonderful. pic.twitter.com/RhjfLshz5c
So, why not try using Kumanomae as a resting place?
