Minami-Osawa Station is in an area developed as part of the Tama New Town project, and is home to large commercial facilities such as an outlet mall, TOHO Cinemas, and Ito-Yokado.
Since the campus of Tokyo Metropolitan University is directly accessible from the pedestrian deck, you can see students on weekdays and working adults heading towards the campus on weekends for qualification exams.
Now, there were many benches at the Festival Court in the outlet mall on the right side of the pedestrian deck!
Look for the PIZZERIA 1830 and Gap.
There were 30 two-seater benches!
Since it's close to the station, it's also perfect for meeting up in Minami-Osawa or for families to take a break.
You can also buy a lunchbox at the nearby supermarket "Sakagami Grand Lupa" and eat it here.
The outlet mall has a European-style exterior, and the atmosphere is great.
The rest space at the corner of the exterior stairs leading to the pet shop on the 2nd floor is also quite lovely.
During events or when it's crowded, there are also benches a little closer to the station!
So, why not use it as a place to take a break and sit down in Minami-Osawa while you're shopping at the outlet?
