MARINE & WALK YOKOHMA is an open mall where you can enjoy the seaside landscape.
Famous places there include the PEANUTS DINER, which is Snoopy-themed, and good spoon, where you can eat all-you-can-eat fresh cheese, which was often seen on Instagram some time ago!
It's located next to the Akarenga Soko (Red Brick Warehouse)!
However, as the name suggests, "MARINE & WALK" is located on the sea side, so you'll have to walk a little.
To get to MARINE & WALK, go past Cosmo World from Minatomirai Station and head towards World Porters.
You'll see it when you go towards the Overseas Migration Museum from the distinctive intersection called Circle Walk next to World Porters.
Also, if you want to go to MARINE & WALK by bus, it is as follows!
- From Sakuragicho, take the loop bus "Akaikutsu" to "Akarenga Soko" (Adults: 220 yen cash, 216 yen IC)
- From Yokohama Station, take route 270 to "Akarenga Soko" (Adults: 220 yen)
So, I went to MARINE & WALK!

I went there for the first time since it opened in 2016.
(It's a little deserted...)
This time, I went to investigate the resting areas on the 1st floor of MARINE & WALK.

(Source: MARINE & WALK YOKOHAMA Official 1F Floor Guide)
This is the official floor guide for the 1st floor.
The north side is the bay. (Oh... bay again? Isn't the sea side good enough? (laughs))
I'd like to introduce each of the many benches and tables on the 1st floor!

There were three wooden low chairs and an object-shaped table at the entrance from the Akarenga Soko side.
The wire control device at the back is probably a curtain that can surround the resting spot, right?
There are many people passing by, but this is the only spot where you can take a break while looking at the buildings of Minatomirai.

There was a wooden table and chairs in the center of the street where apparel shops gather.
The tables and chairs have a similar structure, and it seems that they are constructed as tables by varying the height.
It's simple, but it blends in well with the scenery.

There were four four-person tables in front of the Masterpiece shop.
At first glance, I thought it was a seat exclusively for a restaurant or cafe, but when I looked at the markings on the table, it seemed like it was free to use!
It's perfect for a break when you visit MARINE & WALK with your family♪

You can even take a break while enjoying the bay!
When you visit with friends or a group, why not take a break here while looking at the bay?

By the way, it was cold when Pen-ta visited in January...
But there's nothing to worry about because there are rest areas with heating!
This spot is under the eaves, so it's a great place to take a break and avoid the rain and direct sunlight.

Believe it or not, there are even sofas outdoors!
The seats are wide and spacious, so it's perfect for a break while shopping!

Chairs with a distinctive design made by weaving rope.
I felt a sense of commitment reminiscent of the sea.

I went out to the bay.
There were low chairs on the deck.
If you look closely, the line of the deck and the chair seat matches, which is a little impressive.

It looks like a single chair, but the seat is wide enough for two people.
The height is low in the depth direction, so it provides a rather fresh seating experience.

Look! It was a resting place where you can monopolize the view of Yokohama Bay!
This chair is great. You might want to come here just to sit on this chair while shopping.

I can update the resting place where you can sit and look at the sea...!
I just wanted to feel that way, so I just opened my laptop (laughs)
▼This is the laptop I always carry around to use for Nomad work, which I bought last year.
I think it's recommended for those who are tired of the crowds at the Akarenga Soko!
Also, as indicated in the floor guide at the beginning, the fact that you can use free Wi-Fi is also a great point!
In winter, there are sofa seats where you can warm up and tables, so it's perfect for a break.
Why not visit MARINE & WALK for shopping?
So, how about using it as a resting place where you can sit near the Akarenga Soko?
