The Nakahara Ward Office is located straight ahead from the west exit of Musashi-Kosugi Station towards Fuchu Kaido. A landmark is the Proud Tower along the way.

And, benches where you can sit and take a break were installed in the space in front of the Nakahara Ward Office.
There were benches for three people and long benches. There are flowerbeds and plantings nearby, creating an environment where you can feel the greenery even though it is adjacent to Fuchu Kaido.

The upper part of the disaster prevention water supply storage is a bench with a design that looks like it was carved from a log.
The storage that you often see in the metro and Toei passages has a note that says "Please do not sit down," so it's unusual to have it as a bench.

This cute mushroom-like tree is a public phone. It's called the Duet Phone. There are also benches on both sides.
It's a strange phone with two handsets, and you can actually talk with three people!

The Duet Phone, which used to be in Shinjuku and Kichijoji, is now only available in front of the Nakahara Ward Office in Musashi-Kosugi.
Nowadays, there's Skype and other services, so multi-person calls aren't particularly unusual... but I hope this one remains.
The administrator, Pen-ta, will introduce it in his Musashi-Kosugi stroll video, so please take a look if you'd like.
So, why not try using it as a resting place where you can sit down around Musashi-Kosugi Station?
