You'll find KITTE Nagoya, a commercial facility in the JP Tower Nagoya, on the Sakura-dori side of JR Nagoya Station.
To get to KITTE Nagoya, you can go up the escalator in front of the Sakura-dori exit and then walk through the Gate Tower from the 2nd floor terrace.
Alternatively, you can also access it through the underground passage!

KITTE is a glass-enclosed commercial facility and tower along Meieki-dori.
Let's head to the 2nd floor of KITTE!

This is the floor guide for the 2nd floor of KITTE Nagoya.
On the right side of the floor, there's a place called Step Garden, where you can sit and take a break!

This is the exterior of the Step Garden.
As the name suggests, there are steps = large stairs, and you can access it from the external stairs from the 1st floor.
Look for the fish market restaurant FUKU Hamakin.

In front of the KITTE entrance of the Step Garden, there is a rest area with a circular ceiling, which is a distinctive feature.
It's a spacious area where about 30 people can sit.
By the way, during the survey, it was 35°C on Obon, but it was in the shade and we were able to rest quite comfortably♪
The urban design and the matching of wood tones and planting are wonderful.

It might seem like an optical illusion (lol), but the benches are made of strips of wooden boards.
Wooden boards are also attached to the walls, making it a bench suitable for resting like a high-backrest!
The point is that there's a ceiling, so you can avoid direct sunlight and rest even on rainy days!

Oh...is there a rest area on the small island all alone!?

This is a circular bench integrated with planting, and about 10 people can sit here.

A mysterious space enclosed by glass, it's nice~wonderful!
A spot where you can take a break while watching the structural work right in front of you. What will be built!?
⇒ It seems to be the " (Provisional) Meieki 1-chome Plan," a 14-story office building.
It's a good location for meeting up at KITTE Nagoya or eating your lunch.
During busy times, there are other rest areas inside KITTE, so check them out!

So, why not use it as a resting place in Nagoya while shopping at KITTE Nagoya?
