Nakameguro, served by the Tokyu Toyoko Line and the Hibiya Line (the first train of the day). If you want to call it by a shorter name, it's Nakame.
Near Nakameguro Station, there's the Meguro River, famous for its beautiful cherry blossom trees, and many stylish restaurants and bars are dotted around.
Now, standing along Yamate-dori, just outside the east exit of Nakameguro Station, is a high-rise building called Nakameguro GT!

↑ This is it. Sorry for the excessive page scrolling due to the high-rise building!
Nakameguro GT is a high-rise building mainly for offices, with a few commercial facilities like Starbucks, a supermarket, and Kaldi.
So, here's a question. What does GT stand for in Nakameguro GT??
The answer is... "Gate Town".
Maybe it was only Pen-ta who was disappointed because I was hoping for something cooler!?
Anyway, this time I went to a place called Plaza Hiroba, located behind the tower of Nakameguro GT.

GT Plaza Hiroba is located on the B1 floor of the building, and you can access public facilities such as the Nakameguro Station Library and Plaza Hall.
It seems that events such as outdoor live performances, concerts, and street performances are held there, but I personally thought it was a bit small.

You can get to Plaza Hiroba using the stairs in front from Nakameguro Station and Yamate-dori.
They are also putting effort into art, and at night, you can enjoy the lighting art titled "One Hundred Moon Ponds."
As you can see in the photo, mysterious blue objects are hanging from the ceiling. I don't know what it means, but is it contemporary art?

By the way, there are circular stone benches around the plantings near the stairs of the Plaza Hiroba.
It's a spot where you can take a break while seemingly making eye contact with the terrace seat users of Starbucks.
However, it seems like it could be used as a place to eat lunch boxes in Nakameguro.

This is a view from the top of the stairs.
Since the benches are at the edge of the plaza, there isn't much space, but it's okay to put a stroller there.
The Plaza Hiroba itself doesn't seem to get that crowded unless there are events, so it might be just right when you want to take a rest in Nakameguro.
By the way, can you see the benches in front of the window glass on the back side of the trees?

There were five of these single benches.
The seating is made of wood, so you can feel more warmth than the circular benches, but the location is a bit awkward.
It's visible from the window glass, and it's not far from the circular benches, so it felt a bit cramped.
By the way, there is a gelato shop called "Pre Marche Gelateria & Alternative Junk, or PG & AJ for short" from the Plaza Hiroba.
They have a wide variety of gelato that you don't usually see, and it's worth a visit.
Let's take a break with some gelato in Nakameguro and relax on the bench.
Also, since the entire plaza is lit up nicely at night, it might be a good date spot in Nakameguro!?
So, why not try using it as a resting place in Nakameguro?
