If you walk from Nakano-Sakaue towards Chojabashi along Yamate-dori, you'll find Jogan-ji Temple.
There's a rest area near the temple, close to the bus stop.

There's a bench in a recessed area.
It feels like a small exhibition space.
Although there's a fair amount of foot traffic, it's a nice place to take a break when visiting Jogan-ji Temple.

The bench is made using tree trunks. If you want to feel the warmth of wood in Nakano, this is the place to go.
By the way, the Chinese-style gate of Jogan-ji Temple is a highlight. It seems to have been built by a person who is the origin of Nakano Chojabashi.
So, why not use this as a place to sit and rest near Nakano-Sakaue Station?
