The south exit area of Niigata Station has been beautifully renovated thanks to the elevated tracks.
The south exit area is home to Praka 1, 2, and 3, which house both shopping and office spaces, as well as Bic Camera. This area is generally more relaxed than the Bandai exit.
I came to Niigata Station for work and was looking for a place to sit down!
It seems that Praka, which dominates the south exit, has three locations. I decided to check out Praka 1 this time.

And there it was! Benches where you can sit and take a break in front of Junkudo in Praka 1!
There are many two-seater benches, which seem like a great spot to meet up before heading to Niigata Station.
The benches are surrounded by lighting, so you can relax and rest even at night in a bright environment.

As you can see in the picture, it's located in front of Praka 1, past the bus stop for the south exit.
It also appears to be near a Willer Express bus stop.

There are also three-seater benches, and they have handrails, making it easier to secure your own personal space.
This would be a good place to wait for your Willer Express bus.
With a large bookstore, Junkudo, right in front of you, you might even be able to buy a book and read it here.
Also, don't forget to check out the "Niigata Station South Exit Square" in front of the station, where there are many benches!

So, why not use these spots as places to take a break around Niigata Station?
