Niiza Station on the Musashino Line has a north and south exit. The south exit area, which connects to National Route 254 and Shiki Kaido, is thriving with commercial facilities and restaurants.
Buses to Rikkyo University Niiza Campus also depart from the south exit.
To get to Furusato Path, go past the rotary in front of the south exit, and head towards the building where the CK BOWL bowling alley, karaoke, and internet cafe are located.
From there, you'll see a small path on the side of a beauty salon, a little further on towards McDonald's and Jonathan's.
And, there are places to sit and rest on the Furusato Path.

There are many 3-seater stone benches along the path.
The path, which suddenly appeared from in front of Niiza Station, had plenty of greenery and seemed like a good place for a stroll or a break near the station.
This is because the area near Niiza Station has major roads such as the Kan-Etsu Expressway and National Route 254, and is a somewhat bleak area with logistics companies and waste recycling companies lined up on the roadside.
This stream is inspired by the Nobidome Canal, and it leads from Tamagawa Josui in Tachikawa City, through Niiza City, and to the Shingashi River in Shiki City. It was developed in the Edo period to secure water for irrigation.
For this reason, the address notation "Nobidome" is used around Niiza Station.
Now, let's focus on the benches!

The seats looked like they were made of wood, but they were actually stone when viewed up close.
The surface is not polished and is a little rough, but you can use it when you want to take a break.
It seems that there will be a lot of people during the commute, but it's an advantage to be close to the station.
Streetlights are installed around the benches, so it won't be completely dark at night.

If you walk along this Furusato Path for a while and go past the Niiza Station South Exit Park, the path will become wider.
The walking path along the canal, called the "Heirin-ji Temple/Nobidome Canal Walking Course," continues.

There were benches like the ones in the photo set along the path.
This place was more spacious, so you could take a relaxing break.
It is used as a path for the local residents to relax, such as for walking dogs.
The Furusato Path, where you can also enjoy a walk, is a convenient resting place to remember when you want to take a break surrounded by nature near Niiza Station.
Also, we recommend visiting the "Benches in Niiza Station South Exit Park" located further along the Furusato Path, as they are also recommended for families with children!
So, how about using it as a resting place with benches around Niiza Station?
