Nishi-Funabashi Station has a station-side shopping facility called Perie.
(There are many Perie in Chiba Prefecture!)
It's located from the 1st floor outside the ticket gates to the 3rd floor inside, and has cafes, bookstores, and fast food restaurants.
It's also great for businessmen who want to grab a quick lunch!

Now, on the platforms for the JR Sobu Line and Musashino Line, you'll see an escalator leading to Perie 3F and Beckers.
It looked very convenient with its wide variety of restaurants.
Let's go up to Perie 3F from here.

Then, around the pillars, there were wooden benches for four people and spaces where you could sit in the atrium!
I visited around 8:30, and there were quite a few people using it.
Since it's right inside the station, it's a perfect spot for meeting up or killing time in Nishi-Funabashi.

The seats are partitioned for one person and have plants on both sides.
I think it's a good point that you can secure your own private space even though it's compact.
There's a Book Express on the 3rd floor of Perie, which is convenient for killing time, and there was also a coffee shop called Nishifuna Coffee Laboratory!
I looked it up quickly during a business trip layover, so I didn't get to go into the coffee shop, but I'm curious about Nishifuna Coffee Laboratory.
(I hope it's not the usual ○○ diner with the local name!)
After all, it seems you can drink delicious coffee brewed with a siphon inside the station!?
So, why not use it as a place to meet up or take a break at Nishi-Funabashi Station?
