From the Odawara Station East Exit, you can access the shopping mall "LUSCA" directly connected to the station, and the pedestrian deck.
Sightseeing spots like Odawara Castle, restaurants, and shopping streets are concentrated in the East Exit area.

This is the view of the East Exit from the pedestrian deck.
The rotary is in front of the building that houses many souvenir shops and izakaya (Japanese pubs). Walking along the shopping street, you can reach the Oboribata-dori street, which leads to Odawara Castle.

And, there was a place to sit and take a break along the shopping arcade, near the stairs leading to the underground mall!
The lime chairs are located in front of a souvenir shop. I wonder if they repainted the chairs that were used in schools in lime green.
They are lovely chairs, aren't they?
Since there are many restaurants and shops selling local products, there's quite a bit of foot traffic.
The lime chairs seem to be used by the locals as well, and it had become a place of relaxation for the elderly.
When you want to take a break while sightseeing in Odawara.
Also, there's a resting area with tables in the underground mall down the stairs behind the chairs.
