From the east exit of Odawara Station, you can access the shopping mall "LUSCA" directly connected to the station and the pedestrian deck.
Sightseeing spots like Odawara Castle, restaurants, and shopping streets are mainly concentrated in the east exit area.

You can directly access LUSCA 2F and the pedestrian deck from the ticket gates of the JR Lines and Odakyu Lines.
And, near the entrance to the deck...

There was a statue of Ninomiya Sontoku!
That's because Ninomiya Sontoku was born in Odawara City! The "Houtoku Ninomiya Shrine," where he is enshrined as a deity, is famous. The shrine is located next to Odawara Castle.

Well, near the statue of Ninomiya Sontoku, there's a place where you can sit and rest in front of the "Fujiya Hotel" restaurant, famous for its curry!
The main central passage has a lot of foot traffic, but this rest area, slightly off to the side, was surprisingly relaxing.

There were four benches placed in the passage.
Since it's a famous restaurant, it might be a bit crowded and not so relaxing during mealtimes.
However, I think it's easy to use as a meeting place in Odawara.
So, why not try using this as a resting spot near Odawara Station?
