Okachimachi Park... It was under construction for a while, but it has been newly renovated and reopened! (Confirmed in March 2019)
It's been quite a makeover, making it a more comfortable park than when I surveyed it last time.
To get to Okachimachi Park, exit the Okachimachi Station ticket gates and head towards Showa-dori. It's located behind the Okachimachi Taito Junior High School, near Hibiya Line Nakaochiai Station and Takeya.

The park is well-equipped with playground equipment, making it perfect for families with children!
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom when I visited♪

Gravel is laid throughout the park, and benches are available for sitting and resting around the trees and the park.
Previously, it was surrounded by greenery, but now it's an open park with a clear view.

Hachiman Shrine is located within Okachimachi Park, and there are circular benches around it.
You can relax and take a break away from the hustle and bustle of Okachimachi♪ (Especially around Takeya in the evening, it gets very crowded!)
It's also convenient as a place to eat lunchboxes in Okachimachi!

Let's visit Hachiman Shrine.
During the Edo period, the site of Okachimachi Park was the residence of the Iyo-Ozu clan, and Hachiman Shrine seems to have been the guardian shrine within the residence.

And, a characteristic of Okachimachi Park is that it has a Japanese garden that remains from the former residence!
Before the renovation, there were koi carp swimming, and it was a popular spot for photoshoots in traditional Japanese clothing.
I thought there was a walking path... but it's currently fenced off and not accessible.

There was a pergola in the park. Perhaps it will be used as a base in case of a disaster.

Also, the object that looks like a garden eel. What is this...?

It seems to be a shower. I've seen it for the first time!
It wasn't working as of March 2019, but there was a button, and there was a hole in the head like a water outlet. I wonder if you can play in the water in the summer!?

There were three-seater benches near the playground equipment, under the cherry trees.
You can sit and watch your children play.

Also, it's great that the public restrooms are clean.
It's a perfect spot for children to play near the stations in the Okachimachi and Ueno areas.
Also, there is a large "Takemachi Park" nearby, so be sure to check it out too!

So, why not use it as a resting place near Okachimachi Station?
