Omiya Station is divided into the north side (Dila) and the south side (ecute).
Today, we're introducing the south side where ecute Omiya is located!
If you go along the passage next to ecute towards the Shinkansen South Transfer Gate, you'll see the stairs leading to Parkside Cafe and the restrooms.
Newly installed benches are available for resting right in front of the cafe, next to the restrooms!

These are four-seater benches with small dividers on the sides of the backrests.
The dividers are great for providing some privacy. In true ecute fashion, there are some plants decorating the top.
Also, because it's a busy area, you might find it a little distracting.
However, it's also convenient for waiting for the Shonan-Shinjuku Line or as a meeting spot when using the Shinkansen at Omiya!
It's especially convenient for business trips or travel since the restrooms are right next door.
(Pen-ta also sat on this bench to take a break during a business trip!)
So, why not give it a try as a place to sit and relax when you're around Omiya Station?
