Omiya JP Building, as the name suggests, is a 20-story high-rise building owned by JP, which stands for Japan Post.
Although it's not the main branch, there's a post office on the first floor of the building. It's not a "Yuyu Window" service, so it functions like a small post office.
To get to the Omiya JP Building, head towards Sogo and Bic Camera on the pedestrian deck from the west exit of Omiya Station.
When you reach the end of the deck, go down to the ground and walk straight along the main street towards National Route 17.
Then, you'll see the Omiya JP Building Post Office as you enter the alley where Cafe Veloce and Omiya Center Building are located.

"Hmm? Is this a forest!?"
I was greeted by a huge green wall that made me think that.
It's so green that the street trees are almost camouflaged...
There's a place where you can sit and take a break in front of the all-green Omiya JP Building.

A two-seater wooden bench is placed there all alone.
The angle of the bench is exquisite. I usually expect benches to be placed parallel to the road...
I guess it means, "Sit on this bench and enjoy the green wall!"

I took a shot from a slightly wider angle.
There's a mailbox near the bench, so you can actually "post a letter and then take a break on the bench".
I took a break here for a while, and my vision was tinted green, maybe because my eyes got used to the green color.
Speaking of which, the Xylitol gum I bought at that time was also green, and so was my Wi-Fi router...

If you want to take a break in a wider space, the "Omiya Center Building Public Open Space" nearby is recommended because it has a lot of seats.
So, how about using it as a place to take a break where you can sit down around Omiya?
