I discovered a lovely collection of benches beneath the Nishishinjuku Mitsui Building! The second bench, in particular, was located a little further away, in a green space with two benches. It seems like a great place to relax and unwind.
It seems the smoking area within the building is open on weekdays. (This photo was taken on a Sunday.)
