When you think of Sawara, you think of the old townscape of Koedo and the Suigo (water region) cruise, and Ino Tadataka!
All of the above tourist spots are within walking distance from Sawara Station.
I think I arrived at Sawara Station around 13:00, but I had plenty of time to enjoy the sights.
Today, I'll be introducing a rest area located in the townscape of Sawara, along a branch of the Tone River!
If you go south past the "Koedo Sawara Boat Cruise," where you can enjoy the Suigo cruise, and the former residence of Ino Tadataka, you'll see this scenery.
Wow, I think Sawara is a precious tourist destination where you can feel the atmosphere of Japan.
And if you go further south along the promenade, you'll find "Purecamera," a company that manages tourism, and they have a rest area attached!

It's a free rest area with toilets!
I think walking from one end to the other of the Koedo Sawara townscape can be quite tiring, so it's nice that they provide this kind of rest space!
Inside the rest area, there's a large table that can seat 8 people, vending machines, and restrooms.
There are photos of Sawara and tourist brochures, so it's a spot you'll want to stop by to take a break during your Sawara sightseeing.
There are surprisingly few toilets in the townscape of Sawara, so it's convenient to know this.

After taking a break and relaxing, let's go back to the townscape and take a boat cruise!
At the Koedo Sawara Boat Cruise, adults can board for 30 minutes for 1,300 yen.
Remember these rest spots and enjoy your sightseeing in Sawara!

If you want to take a break on the way back from your sightseeing and head to Sawara Station, check out the following two rest areas!

So, why not use these rest areas for your sightseeing in Sawara?
