Shibuya Cross Tower was the first skyscraper in the Shibuya area to exceed 100 meters, and it was a landmark in Shibuya until Hikarie was completed.
On the outdoor terrace on the 2nd floor of the Cross Tower, there is a monument of Yutaka Ozaki, and passionate messages from Ozaki fans are written on the walls.

Why Yutaka Ozaki??
It's because Yutaka Ozaki, during his high school days, used this terrace frequently when commuting to Aoyama Gakuin University High School, and he used to watch the sunset from the terrace on his way home from school!
...I just happened to discover this resting place, but I didn't know it had such a connection!?
So, here's how to get to Shibuya Cross Tower: First, head towards Shibuya Hikarie!

The above is a map of the 2nd floor of Shibuya Hikarie.
When going to Hikarie from the JR lines, follow the signs and you will naturally pass through the connecting passage and arrive at the 2nd floor of Hikarie.
If you are taking the Tokyu Line or the Metro, go to the 2nd floor via the atrium escalator near the Hikarie 1/2 ticket gates.
Then, when you reach the area near the Urban Core on the left side of the map, go straight inside Hikarie and turn right at [14] on the right side of the map.

You will see a slope called "Konno-zaka," so cross the pedestrian bridge.
To make sure you don't misread it, there's even a furigana "Konno" written above the characters, lol.
Then, the building on the other side of the pedestrian bridge is Shibuya Cross Tower, and there is a place where you can sit and rest on the terrace.

There were S-shaped benches that could accommodate about 10 people.
It wasn't a desolate view in front of the building, but a resting space with benches on a wooden deck, surrounded by greenery.

From this terrace, you can enjoy the view of the Shuto Expressway No. 3 Shibuya Line and Route 246 Aoyama Street.
However, since there are many high-rise buildings, the sunset that Yutaka Ozaki is said to have watched is likely to be hidden.

A little further from the benches, there were many two-seater benches with wooden seats.
The terrace of the building has a spacious area, so you can relax without feeling cramped.
On a good day, you can also use it as a place to eat lunch in Shibuya.
Since there is plenty of space, it is also convenient for families with children who want to take a break in Shibuya.
Please note that there is no roof, so it is completely outdoors.
Also, there is a Starbucks nearby, so it's a good idea to take out a drink from Starbucks and take a break here!
It's a relaxing place, so it could also be used as a date spot in Shibuya!?
So, why not try using it as a resting place with seating around Shibuya?
