Shinagawa Intercity is a group of office buildings consisting of Buildings A to C, the S&R Building (Shop & Restaurant), and the Hall Building.
To get to Shinagawa Intercity, exit the JR line's Central Ticket Gate and head towards the Konan Exit, where the Shinkansen ticket gates and Atre are located, and go out to the pedestrian deck.

As shown on the official map above, you can access it by going through the passage that crosses the Central Garden from the pedestrian deck.
The rest area introduced this time is the atrium on the 1st floor of the S&R Building, which is next to Building A.

There were 4 sets of tables for 4 people each!
It's easy to get to the rest area because you can go straight along the skyway, a pedestrian walkway.
You can eat and drink there, so it can be used as a place to eat what you buy at the convenience stores, cafes, and McDonald's in the S&R Building.
Also, there are vending machines and trash cans nearby, so it seems convenient when eating lunch boxes in Shinagawa.
Furthermore, there is a large rest area nearby at "Intercity Atrium B1F Table Seats", so please consider it as well.
Why not use it when you are using Shinagawa Intercity or when you want a place to sit and rest or eat your lunch box around Shinagawa Station?
