Shinagawa Intercity is a group of office buildings consisting of Buildings A to C, Building S&R (Shop & Restaurant), and the Hall Building.
To get to Shinagawa Intercity, exit the Central Ticket Gate of the JR lines and head towards the Konan Exit, where the Shinkansen ticket gates and Atre are located, and then go out to the pedestrian deck.

As shown on the official map above, you can access it by going through the passage beyond the Central Garden from the pedestrian deck.
The rest area we will introduce this time is the atrium on the B1F of Building S&R, which is next to Building A.

There were 19 tables with four seats each set up on the glass window side!
Above, there is a skyway for pedestrians that crosses Intercity, and the structure and space are designed with variety.
The ceiling is high, and there is a large Central Park through the glass, so the environment is good because the sun shines in during the day.

The table seats have chairs made of aluminum or resin.
You can eat and drink there, so it's perfect for eating items or boxed lunches purchased from the convenience stores, cafes, and McDonald's in Building S&R.
Also, since I saw many people working on their computers, it is also recommended as a Nomad/Remote work spot in Shinagawa!
(I checked around 10:00 p.m. on weekdays, and there were surprisingly many people working remotely!)
The drawback is that the air conditioning is weak in the winter, so it gets a little cold. But it's spacious and perfect for a break, so it's convenient to remember!
So, why not use it when you are in Shinagawa Intercity, or when you are looking for a place to sit and take a break or eat a boxed lunch around Shinagawa Station?
