This is a rest area located near the Konan exit of Shinagawa Station, on the side where Shinagawa Intercity and the Nikon Museum are located.
To get to Shio-no Park and Shinagawa Central Garden, go towards the Shinkansen ticket gates from Shinagawa Station and go down to the ground from the pedestrian deck.
Here's the view from the Konan Exit pedestrian deck, looking towards "Shio-no Park/Central Garden."

Shio-no Park is the spot with greenery in front of the bus stop.
It's right in the middle, sandwiched between Shinagawa Intercity.

This is the entrance to Shinagawa Central Garden. There was a low stone gate.
Let's go in and take a look...

Wow, isn't this a spot that feels open even though it's near Shinagawa Station!
It's surrounded by buildings on both sides, making it a truly urban space, and it looks like it would be used as a filming location for dramas.
Shio-no Park is a very spacious area, perfect for families with children and for a relaxing break.

There are many stone benches installed, functioning as a rest area in Shinagawa.
It's not just a bench; the lighting installed under the seating is wonderful.
As I'll mention later, it's also recommended as a night view area in Shinagawa!

Plantings are arranged in a grid pattern, and efforts were made to create a sense of greenery even while being in a concrete jungle.
It looks like a good place to eat lunchboxes in Shinagawa♪

In the space surrounded by trees, there are countless distinctive single stone benches.
It seems like a stone area.
It will probably be bustling during lunchtime as a gathering place for Shinagawa's office workers. Of course, it's also recommended for a break for those who are skipping work (lol)

And what's amazing is that there are trash cans.
If you're a Shinagawa lunchbox guy or have your own lunch, let's eat here. It's also easily accessible from the station♪

Also, what caught my attention was the public art scattered around.
The bench in the picture has a roof.

This object is named "Tidal Wind."
"Shinagawa has strong sea breezes, and the autumn leaves in the park are earlier than in other places thanks to the sea breeze"... I see!
Art objects are called follies, and there are Folly 1 to Folly 7.
I learned the word folly here. I'll use it regularly.

Then, if you go around to the back of Folly 4, there's a staircase that you can climb onto the stage.
It was Pen-ta in a suit, but of course, I went up there!?

Oh, there were two iron benches with punch hole shapes!
I'm glad I went up there~ (lol)
It's a viewing platform surrounded by glass, and this bench is recommended for those who want to enjoy the autumn leaves of Shinagawa and relax!
Maybe you can eat your lunchbox in your own space here!?

Huh!? What's this all of a sudden?

Oh, before I knew it, I was in the waiting line for Big Thunder Mountain...
There is a thrilling "folly" that might make you feel like you're in an attraction!
Please try to find it on site! I think the kids will be happy too~.
There was also a bench with pipe art.

Shio-no Park / Shinagawa Central Garden is a night view spot.
And, when you visit on a Friday night, you'll see office worker couples here and there...
Office romances spread quickly, so take it easy (lol)
It looks like it could be used as a date spot in Shinagawa too!
Also, the "Intercity Atrium B1F" nearby also has table seats perfect for eating lunchboxes, so be sure to check it out!
So, why not try using it as a rest area in Shinagawa?
