To get to Shinjuku i-Land Tower, go from the rotary at Shinjuku West Exit or "Shinjuku Ohgardo Nishi" along Aomi Street towards Nishi-Shinjuku. It's located next to the Shinjuku Police Station.
Alternatively, you can go from the side of the Cocoon Tower, pass through the Shinjuku Center Building, and proceed towards the "Shinjuku Police Station Back" intersection, where you'll find it.
There is a famous "LOVE object" in Shinjuku i-Land.
And, if you go down the stairs a little past the LOVE object, you'll see the patio in the plaza.

There are over 30 tables with seating for 4 people.
This is the most seating available in the Shinjuku area.
The patio at Shinjuku i-Land is spacious and open, and you can see the high-rise buildings and Cocoon Tower from the tables.
Shinjuku i-Land seems to be particular about art, as seen in the LOVE object, and the patio also creates a stylish atmosphere.
The floor where the tables are placed features a geometric pattern artwork by an Italian artist, similar to the "Shinjuku i-Land Tower 1F Entrance".
Simple art that gives a sense of space matches well, adding color to the patio.
Furthermore, benches and mini tables are also set up around the patio.

Regarding these benches, pay attention to the backrests.
They are curved metal plates.
This is so good for stretching your back, it feels great, haha!
Everyone tends to focus on the tables, but this is quite addictive.
By the way, here are some photos of the tables.

They are metal tables, but they are not uncomfortable to sit at.
Some tables have tarps for rain and shade, so you can take a break away from direct sunlight even when the sun is strong.
It's also perfect as a place to eat your lunch in Shinjuku and is easy to use for families with children because it's spacious.
As for the congestion situation, I checked around 2:00 PM on weekends and holidays, and about 70% of the tables were occupied.
However, with over 30 tables, it seems likely that you can avoid a full house.
It's also great if you want to do desk work or remote work in Shinjuku when the weather is nice.
So, why not use Shinjuku i-Land as a relaxing spot in Shinjuku when you visit?
