To get to the Shinjuku campus of Kogakuin University and the Estec Information Building, go from the Central Exit of Shinjuku West Exit, past the Cocoon Tower, and you'll find it on the side of the intersection, in front of the Shinjuku Center Building.
Alternatively, if you go towards the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building through the West Exit underground shopping area, you'll see the entrance to the building leading to Kogakuin University on your left, and you can access it from there.
And, there is a seating area in the plaza in front of Kogakuin University and the Estec Information Building.

There are 12 iron benches that can seat 4 people each.
This was a surprise. "Wow, there's a plaza like this so close to Shinjuku Station..."
The area in front of the Estec Information Building is a wide space, with benches lined up along the side.
The special feature is that the entire rest area is in the shade of the buildings, so I was able to take a break while avoiding direct sunlight even when I visited on a sunny day in June.
I think you can rest relatively comfortably even in the heat of summer.
It seems like the plaza is also used for events such as the Shinjuku Ward Festival and the Kogakuin University festival.
There are also stairs leading to the West Exit underground shopping area nearby, so access to Shinjuku Station is also good.

You can see the Cocoon Tower of Tokyo Mode Gakuen in front of you. It seems like it could also be used for sightseeing in Shinjuku.
(Photo: The top of the tower is cut off, haha)
It's a spacious and open space, so you don't have to worry when you're chatting with friends, and it's also a good place to eat your lunch.
It's also recommended for families with children, as they won't bother anyone even if they run around.
(However, ball games etc. are not allowed.)
Also, since it's spacious, it seems convenient for meeting places in Shinjuku or when gathering with a group.
It's a convenient resting place to remember in the Shinjuku West Exit area.
So, why not try using it as a resting place with seating around Shinjuku?
