Kojima Park, which is thought to have been used as a schoolyard before Kojima Elementary School closed.
To get to Kojima Park, it's located a short distance south of Exit A4 of Shin-Okachimachi Station.
The fact that it's close to the station is a plus!

On the Saemonbashi Street side of Kojima Park, there's a walking path from the entrance with an approach that has handrails.

Kojima Park has a lot of playground equipment, including slides!
It's frequently used by families with children, making it a perfect park for children in Okachimachi to play♪

If you continue along the path, you'll find... a gazebo-style rest area!

There are two three-seater benches!
Located at the end of the park's walking path, it's a great spot to relax and take a break as it's not very crowded.
There is a water fountain near the bench.
It can also be used as a place to enjoy your lunch box in Okachimachi!

While strolling through Kojima Park, you'll find a fountain and a flowerbed.
The water was shut off, but perhaps it's a relic of the elementary school. The flowerbed was well-maintained.

Also, Kojima Park has public restrooms, so you can play for a long time!

In addition to the slides, there was also spring-mounted playground equipment.
It's a 3D-like, three-dimensional type that's not often seen. The peacock on the left is cute!

There was also a rocket-shaped swing!
By the way, the ground in the park is covered with gravel.

Around the evening, many children play with balls, and the area surrounded by fences is where the local elementary school students run around.
Also, the building in front is the former Kojima Elementary School building.
It has a distinctive appearance, and the design concept seems to be different from that of a typical elementary school.
The dome-shaped design is wonderful! I wonder if there's a spiral staircase?

After Kojima Elementary School closed, the school building was not demolished but is used as the Taito City Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Center, a public facility of the ward.
It's wonderful that they decided to preserve the school building instead of building an office building on the empty lot.
For example, there is Shitaya Elementary School, which was completed before the war in Taito City. It is still in use!

So, that was the introduction to Kojima Park!
If Kojima Park is crowded, there is also Takemachi Park nearby, so check it out too!

So, why not use it as a place to rest in the Shin-Okachimachi Station area?
