Around Tokyo Skytree, you'll find Tokyo Solamachi, Sumida Aquarium, Planetarium Tenku, and the East Tower, an office building. This entire area is known as Skytree Town.
And today, we're checking out a rest area in Solamachi, the commercial facility connected to the Skytree entrance!
Solamachi is huge, so we'll be using the map to find our way around using yard names and addresses.

The rest area we'll be introducing this time is "Farm Garden, located near the entrance to Sumida Aquarium in West Yard, address 1."
To get to Sumida Aquarium, take the outdoor escalator from the 4th floor of Solamachi to the entrance. The Farm Garden is right next to it.
※Even if you're not sure, there's a route search at the bottom of the article, so you can easily access it without getting lost.
So, let's check out this rest area!

Wow, we've arrived at a refreshing garden with an open feeling!
By the way, I visited around lunchtime during the summer vacation season, and it was a hidden gem of a rest area because no one was there (laughs).

Um... is that from Studio Ghibli, AI, or a robot?

Just kidding, there's a human-shaped object (laughs).
The Farm Garden has a field called Solamachi Farm.
It's an urban rooftop farm, a recent trend, and it's called "Rappo Oimo Batake."
It seems that the "Oimo Stock Owner System" run by Shirahato Foods Co., Ltd. is incorporated into this Solamachi Farm.
The sweet potato seedlings and soil of the Oimo Batake are from "JA Namegata" in Namegata City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

As for the rest area, there are circular benches.
The beautiful contrast between the brick-like design and the lawn, along with the trees planted in the center of the benches, is amazing.
The surroundings are green, and it doesn't feel like a rooftop of a building, does it!?
This place could also be used as a date spot in Skytree♪

On a good day, it's recommended to relax here, maybe read a book!
Since the space is wide, it's perfect for families and those with children to take a break♪
Above all, it's not crowded, and it's convenient to remember as a place where you can eat your Skytree or Solamachi lunch!
By the way, the restrooms are on the 4th floor, inside next to the NHK Character Shop, after going down the escalator.
As another relaxing rest spot, "Solamachi 8F Dome Garden" is also recommended, so be sure to check it out!

So, why not use this place as a resting area around Tokyo Skytree?
