To get to Toshima City Edobashi Park, head out of Sugamo Station and go towards the main street called Hakusan-dori, which is National Route 17.
Then, from Sugamo Bridge, go towards Otsuka along the Yamanote Line tracks on " Sugamo Cherry Blossom Avenue," where Gusto and Karaoke Kan are located.
After passing Miyashita Bridge and continuing along the road, you will see Edobashi Park on your left.

Edobashi Park is a relatively small park, but it has a variety of playground equipment and also has restrooms.
It's convenient to remember when you want your children to play near Sugamo Station.
And, there were two places in the park where you could sit and take a break.

There were two single stone benches in the shade of the trees in front of the sandbox.
The following photo shows the benches near the bee playground equipment that will be introduced later.

Unusually, these are benches that you can play with!
There are "Maze Edition" where you try not to get caught by the wolf, and "Gonkotsuyama no Tanuki-san Edition."
I saw this type of bench design for the first time as of July 2018!
Since it becomes hard to see when you sit on it, let's play with your children sitting on the edge of the seat, haha.

It seems to be called Rocket Park by the locals.
The oddly shaped object, is it a creation from elementary school students?
Also, Edobashi Park seems to be a spot for location-based games like PokéStops and Ingress.

There was playground equipment with a bee character.
The one on the left is named "Kin-chan." I forgot to look at the one on the right, but if we follow this trend, it's probably "Gin-chan," right?
And, there were two single stone benches next to the playground equipment.
So, that was the introduction of Edobashi Park.
From the perspective of taking a break, there are only four single stone benches, but it's a convenient spot for families with children.
By the way, "Sugamo Cherry Blossom Avenue benches" on the way to Edobashi Park from Sugamo Station is the birthplace of Somei-Yoshino cherry trees, which looks good for cherry blossom viewing in spring.
Also, if you're looking for a wider park around Sugamo, "Bunkyo Miyashita Park benches" is recommended!
Why not try using them as rest areas with seating around Sugamo Station?
