To get to Sugamo Post Office, exit the north exit of Sugamo Station and go straight through the shopping arcade in front of the station, then enter Sugamo Jizo-dori Shopping Street.
Go past Kogan-ji Temple and continue straight through the shopping street. You'll find Sugamo Post Office a little further down, past Maruji No. 2, which is famous for its "red pants."

You'll be greeted by a postbox featuring Sugamon, the mascot character of Sugamo!
It's so cute, I have a few Sugamon goods myself, haha!
And, there's a place where you can sit and take a break in front of Sugamo Post Office.

There are three wooden benches, each with seating for three people.
I visited around 3 p.m. in July, and it was sunny, so it might be a bit harsh on a scorching hot day.
But there's plenty of space, so you can take a break without feeling cramped.

The benches are quite ordinary, but they are long, so there's a little extra space even when three people are sitting.
It's a good place to take a rest when you get tired from walking around Jizo-dori Shopping Street.

Oh, and by the way, you can use free Wi-Fi in Sugamo Jizo-dori Shopping Street!
Sugamon told me, "Free Wi-Fi is available!"
I personally recommend Sugamon, the mascot character, it's so cute.
There are also benches at Kogan-ji Temple, which is famous for Togenuki Jizo!

And there's also a resting place on the Nakasendo Road nearby! (There are also restrooms!)

So, why not use these spots as resting places around Sugamo Station?
