We've started a survey of rest areas overseas! Our destination is "Taipei."
Today, we'll introduce "Yongkang Street," a popular street lined with many unique shops!
Yongkang Street, home to shops selling Chinoiserie goods, cafes, and sweets shops, is famous as a tourist spot in Taipei.
To get to Yongkang Street, take the MRT's Tamsui-Xinyi Line and get off at Exit 5 of Dongmen Station.

Let's head to the famous "Din Tai Fung," known for its Xiao Long Bao, which has its main branch in Taipei!
Yongkang Street is the street next to Din Tai Fung.
Even so, Din Tai Fung is so popular that there's a huge waiting line of tourists...

This is Yongkang Street.
It's a spot where you can enjoy window shopping and eating while walking, with many shops lined up.
Of course, you can also enjoy popular Taipei sweets such as the mango shaved ice from Smoothie!

Now, as you go down the street past Yongkang Park, you'll see a rest spot like a plaza at the corner.
According to Google Maps, it's listed as a park, but there doesn't seem to be a specific name for the spot, so it's unnamed.

There were benches that can seat about 35 people.
Greenery thrives at the foot of the old, small building, creating a space like an oasis.
By the way, what does the picture on the top right mean...? Fish?

The location name column on the sign says "Taipei Haokan Series 2" and the address.
Does this mean something like "Series 2 of places with good views in Taipei?" Anyone who knows Chinese, please tell me!
Judging from the photo on the bulletin board, it seems they redeveloped the vacant land as a place of relaxation.

Regardless of the details, it's convenient as a rest spot in Yongkang Street!
Since there's a plaza in front of the benches, it's easy to take a break for families.
It's just the right benches for enjoying the Tianjin Cong Zhua Bing (scallion pancake) or tapioca drinks purchased nearby.
I also enjoyed browsing the variety stores in Yongkang Street~♪
The decoration of the motherboard at the entrance of the variety store is wonderful. #永康街 pic.twitter.com/NT5VWid2Eo

Also, check out the benches at "Yongkang Park" nearby, where you can relax!
I used an LCC (Low-Cost Carrier) for the first time on this trip to Taiwan, and it was more comfortable than I expected, and I was able to go to Taiwan at a low price!
Here's a report on what it's like inside an LCC and what I found out after actually using it.
So, why not use Yongkang Street as a place to sit and take a break?
