Unlike the east exit, which is undergoing redevelopment, the west exit area on the Dai-ichi Keihin side offers a different landscape.
The pedestrian deck at the west exit of Tamachi Station provides access to the Morinaga Plaza Building, Keio University, and the Toei Mita Line.

You can access the pedestrian deck by exiting the ticket gates of Tamachi Station and heading towards the west exit.
Although the deck isn't very wide due to the high-rise buildings on both sides, it leads to the pedestrian bridge over Dai-ichi Keihin.
And we've found a place on the Tamachi Station pedestrian deck where you can sit and take a break!

Stone benches for three people each were arranged along the planting.
While it might feel a little busy due to the foot traffic, we think it's a convenient rest area for meeting up or taking work calls near Tamachi Station.

The benches are integrated with blocks and surprisingly well-maintained.
You often find trash accumulating in plantings like these near stations, but it's great that it's kept clean.
Regarding pedestrian traffic flow, there seem to be two types of people: those who use the pedestrian deck and those who use the escalators to go up and down to the ground-level rotary.
It didn't seem like the deck gets too crowded.
This spot also looks useful when you want to quickly grab a bento or light meal near Tamachi Station.
Also, check out the "Morinaga Plaza Building Deck Plaza" nearby!
So, why not try using this spot as a place to sit and take a break around Tamachi Station?
