Along the main street (Baba-dori) that connects Tobu Utsunomiya Station to JR Utsunomiya Station, you'll find a space called Bamba Square.
Bamba Square is easily recognizable by the torii gate of Futarayama Shrine and its proximity to the now-defunct Parco.

You'll find benches scattered around Bamba Square where you can sit and relax.
There are two-seater benches placed around the trees in the square. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located nearby, making it easy to grab a bite to eat.

Here's a view from the stairs leading to the grounds of Futarayama Shrine.
During the Obon season, events are held here, with food stalls and tables and chairs set up.
By the way, the building on the left is Parco. It's sad that Parco closed down...

The torii gate of Futarayama Shrine is also magnificent, so we recommend visiting the shrine while you're taking a break.
The space is quite large, making it a comfortable rest area for families as well.
Also, be sure to visit Futarayama Shrine, the Ichinomiya of Shimotsuke Province.

So, why not use this area as a place to take a break around Tobu Utsunomiya Station?
