The "Marunouchi Station Square" project, which took over three years to complete, has been revitalized in front of Tokyo Station.
In front of the square is Gyoko-dori, a street that stretches towards the Imperial Palace, and it has been transformed into a wonderful landscape.
I thought it had been under construction for a long time, and it turns out it took three years!
To get to Marunouchi Station Square, it's right in front of you when you exit the Marunouchi Central Exit ticket gate of Tokyo Station.

The center of Marunouchi Station Square has a well-maintained lawn, creating an advanced space where greenery shines, even though it's in the heart of Tokyo.
I visited in late November, and the colors of the street trees and the Tokyo Station building, which was recreated with red bricks, were a beautiful match.

As the previous photo already revealed, stone benches have been newly installed to surround the street trees.
Each stone bench can seat about 16 people.
Since the street trees are on both sides of the lawn area, there are benches that can accommodate over 100 people!
It's open and has plenty of seating, making it perfect for families with children or other groups to take a break.

The appeal is that you can relax while gazing at the Tokyo Station building.
Since the station is right in front of you, it's convenient as a meeting spot in Tokyo.
It's also a great place to eat your Tokyo bento lunch!
Also, be sure to check out the "Table seats on the 7th floor terrace of Shin-Maru Building" where you can take a break while looking at the Tokyo Station building!

So, why not use it as a rest area around Tokyo Station?
